1. 研究目的与意义

Language is unique to human beings and is the highest form of communication between individuals in the world. It is the unique carrier of human thought and ideology; it is one of the important factors to promote the progress of human civilization. In today''''''''s society, the rapid development of twenty-first Century, economic globalization has been an irresistible trend, the exchange between countries is increasingly frequent. As an international language, English plays a very important role in the international cooperation and exchange in our country. However, many college students who have learned English for many years, yet they haven#8217;t actually acquired the language. In China, the negative transfer of native language dialects has been plagued by the majority of English learners. The study on the negative transfer of Chinese on learning English pronunciation has a long history, but few of them have focused on negative transfer of certain dialect. As one of the basic dialects of Mandarin Chinese, the DongBei dialect has distinct effect on the English learners in the northeast. Meanwhile, the paper finds out some feasible counter measures to solve the phonetic problem, and finally improve the EFL learners#8217; pronunciation and intonation and promote the teaching quality.

3. 国内外研究现状

This paper is based on the fundamental theory of language transfer, which has been first developed by linguists Selinker(1969). First and second language transfer was first discussed in Selinker(1969) and other follow-up studies either provided but further evidences of transfer or its role in understanding the learner#8217;s error in particular. Language transfer can be positive and negative(Odlin,2001). Odlin(1989) said #8220;transfer has long been a controversial issue, many recent studies support the view that cross-linguistic influence can have an important impact on second language acquisition#8221;. In his Language Transfer, he analyzed an interpreted research showing many ways in which similarities and differences between language can influence the acquisition of grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation.

Up to now, there are many studies dealing with the analysis between English and Mandarin or about English pronunciation and Chinese respectively. At abroad, some linguists described the importance of accents English in education, social life, politics and so on. Alan Cruttenden (2001) in his Pronunciation of English made a detailed description of all the RP according to manner of articulation and place of articulation. At home, distinguished Chinese linguists attached great importance to the contrastive analysis study between English and Chinese pronunciation. In this way, Chinese EFL learners can acquire English pronunciation more correct and precise. In early 1930s, Yuanren Zhao published an article named An Contrastive Analysis of English(including General American) and Chinese Tones.(Lin,2007) Besides that, In 2005, Yiting Su and Yingling Luo wrote a paper The influence of dialect on English pronunciation which pointed out the influence on consonant learning , vowel learning and different areas have different characteristics on accents. Qingping Zhang(2014) published a paper Reducing the influence of dialect on pronunciation learning and improving students'''''''' spoken English which pointed out some effective solutions to solve this problem. Meanwhile, there are some linguists studied The influence of Dongbei dialects on learning English pronunciation. In 2001, Xiegang Song (2001) published a paper named Sound Errors and Analysis in the Vowels of DaLian Dialect, which discussed the differences between finals of Mandarin and English vowels. Another linguist named Yujuan Gao (2005) made an research on the tonal duration of DaLian accent. Yu Zhang(2013) wrote a paper The Influence of DongBei Dialects to English Pronunciation and Intonation which pointed out the characteristics of Dongbei dialects and give the further study suggestion.
